LET ME TELL YOU MORE ABOUT ME

After being a Deputy Superintendent Registrar for the Register Office for a decade, I took a leap of faith and decided to break free from the rigid guidelines and restrictions that the Register office sets, and start practising what I preach; literally.

And what do I preach?

That love should be celebrated. Effortlessly! Without boundaries and limitations. Fully and outwardly.

Celebrated because love comes in so many wondrous forms. Sometimes it creeps up on you, and sometimes it’s pursued until it’s in your grasp. Telling that story, your story, unadulterated and freely, is a pleasure and honour I don’t take for granted.

Becoming a Qualified, Certified Independent Celebrant allows me to do just that, for you! I am so committed to celebrating love for, and with everyone, that I am fully able to deliver your ceremony in British Sign Language too, so that no-one is excluded. And in 2025, I was awarded Best Independent Celebrant by the Prestige Awards.

So I’m the best choice you’ll make.

In addition to that, I’ll also write for you a bespoke poem, which I’ll deliver to you and your guests on your special day as part of the ceremony.

It will be all about you - both of you!

Your personalities, quirks, desires for one another, your future plans together…. and everything in between that comes with finding the one. It’ll be everything you don’t get with a standard register office ceremony.

You’ll laugh, you’ll probably cry too, but it's to be expected as I would have captured the true essence of you. Just as your wedding day should be after all.

And just in case you’re thinking there’s not enough in your personal love story to make it worth writing about, I guarantee you, as the only Celebrant who writes bespoke poems purely based on the conversations we’ll have when we meet, there’s no such thing as “just” a love story. Because they are all unique and full of magic to me.

Permission to share was very graciously given to me by the lovely C&E and it’s now a framed keepsake in their home.
